The Scottish Natural Heritage website has some different ideas for outdoor learning. I adapted the 'Journey Stick' idea for a woodland walk. Children collected natural finds and bound these to a branch using wool. They attached them to the branch in the order they were found using colours which reminded them of that area. They were beautiful when they were finished. I made a journey stick which led us on our woodland walk.

Favourite iPhone App 2 - Koi Pond |
This is a beautiful app for the iPhone - Koi Pond. Imagine a table of these, the ripple effect is clever. I love what happens when you hold your finger still and a fish nibbles it. Turning on the rainstorm, listening to music and tickling fish is very therapeutic. I am going to have a look at Distant Shore next.
